360 Military Family Center
Western WA Military Installations The Center is specifically targeted to work with families (E-4 or Below) who have been in the Military for 2 or less years. Staff work with Military Families associated with Fort Lewis or McChord and who have a child under the age of 26 with developmental disabilities. |
Parent Training and Information Center
Washington State A federally funded program that provides training, resources, and support for parents in Washington State whose children have special learning needs, individuals with disabilities, professionals. Staff provide workshops on various aspects of obtaining appropriate services in the public school system. |
Person Centered Planning
Pierce County, Washington Offers person centered plans to individuals with disabilities utilizing maps and graphics through the support of specially trained facilitators. Person Centered Plans empower individuals with disabilities and their families to set goals and advocate for themselves in the community. |
Pierce County Parent to Parent
Pierce County, Washington Provides families emotional support and information on community resources for parents who have a child with a disability or chronic health need. Helping Parent Volunteers and staff assist families in coping with many challenging experiences and feelings and can contact families by phone, home visits, or hospital visits. |
Specialized Training of Military Parents
International Military Installations STOMP is a federally funded program that provides support and training to military families throughout the United States and overseas, with special emphasis on helping other parent centers learn about issues facing military families through workshops, telephone consultations and presentations. |
